Cocroft-Weems Educational Foundation was established July 23, 1977, by Charles J. Weems.

“Time is of utmost essence and I wish to caution my generation that our journey in history has been a relay race and we are almost at the crossroads of passing the baton from the starting gate and it will serve as a prime mover. This Foundation is a motivating force to ensure that when we pass on the baton, we can say ‘Well done, I have finished my task, and I am awaiting my winner to cross the finish line.”
